Palliative Care 2016 Education Series: Coding for Palliative Care and Demographic Factors

May 26, 2016

Registration for this event is open to HANYS' Members and Non-Members.

1 - 2 p.m.

HANYS, with the generous support from the Milbank Foundation for Rehabilitation, has continued to host a series of webinars for healthcare providers seeking to initiate or expand access to palliative care for patients, residents, and families. The program faculty are nationally recognized experts in the field.

Payment for palliative care is critical to ensuring expanded patient access to these important services. This webinar will focus on ICD-10 coding, which requires extensive documentation of patient diagnosis, and payment for palliative care. The program will outline documentation requirements for physicians and nurse practitioners, and how to apply this information for claims to prevent denials, maximize payment, and improve patient care and outcomes through enhanced communication between providers.
