The successful candidate should be either working towards or have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, database or information studies. Experience with databases and good typing skills required, as is professional phone demeanor. Ability to multi-task. General knowledge of physician specialties, preferred. Flexibility in the scheduling, minimum 15 - 20 hours required per week.

Executive Assistant

Director, Managed Care

Director

DataGen, a subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) is seeking a Director. DataGen provides information-based tools that support the operations, advocacy efforts and educational needs of hospitals, health care systems and networks, hospital/health care associations, researchers, and consultants.

This position directs the activities associated with the development, enhancement, production, and distribution of KeySTATS information products for hospital associations and health care organizations. The successful candidate will identify and direct the research and analysis of federal issues of importance related to healthcare finance; integrating their technical knowledge and understanding of policy issues in directing project analyses, development of information-related products and services, and research and development studies. This position also directs the training and customer support activities for new and existing clients.

A Bachelor's degree is required with a graduate degree in Public Health, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field, preferred. Experience should include at least seven years of experience in the application of techniques of economic analysis, statistics, financial, and/or information analysis in a health-related field (particularly the hospital industry). Supervisory/leadership experience required. Knowledge of computer applications is essential. The ability to work on both a macro and micro basis and the ability to integrate the two is important. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is required.

Quality Specialist/Manager

The Quality and Research Initiatives Division, an affiliate of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) seeks a Quality Specialist/Manager.

This grant funded position's main function is to coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of quality-related collaborative/grants including assisting in all phases of development, management of work plans, budget, reports, documentation and communications to ensure project goals are met within established timelines.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree with a proven track record and at least three years of experience in both clinical care and quality management, some of which may be through formal education. A Master's Degree preferred. Excellent project management, research, written and interpersonal skills required. Routine travel, 3-5 times a month within NYS.
