HANYS and GNYHA Webinar on Meaningful Use Stage 3 Proposed Rule, Featuring AHA

April 30, 2015

11 a.m. - Noon

Last month, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the proposed rule that defines “meaningful use” of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for Stage 3 of the Medicare and Medicaid Incentive Payment Programs. At the same time, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology released a companion rule that proposes certification criteria, standards, and implementation specifications for EHR technology.

HANYS HIT Strategy Group will host this webinar with Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) to review the proposed rules. During the webinar, the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Diane Jones will provide an overview of the rules and highlight issues for consideration as stakeholders are in the process of developing their comments, which are due May 29.

We encourage participants to share questions and concerns regarding the rules and provide feedback to HANYS, GNHYA, and AHA.

Note: This webinar will take place instead of the standing HANYS’ HIT Strategy Group call, originally scheduled for April 21.
