Two-Midnight Policy Changes

HANYS will host this webinar to review proposed policy changes to the “two-midnight” rule, discuss the positive aspects of the changes, describe potential exposure areas, and seek your input on how to improve the proposal.
The two-midnight rule is a controversial time-based Medicare inpatient admissions policy adopted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in 2013. CMS put forward proposed improvements to the rule last week. Aggressive advocacy by HANYS and others has, to this point, prevented full enforcement of the two-midnight rule.
