DASNY CON Review Services

Hosted by HANYS, this webinar will feature a representative of the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) to provide an update on the authority’s role in Certificate of Need (CON) reviews. Members undergoing rapid transformation as part of state and federal healthcare reform may wish to use DASNY’s services.

In addition to highlighting CON review options, HANYS is participating in a Department of Health (DOH) workgroup to identify ways to streamline and update the CON process and welcomes member feedback as this process continues.

DETAILS:

In 2011, DASNY signed a memorandum of understanding with DOH that allows DASNY to perform architectural drawing reviews associated with the CON process. DOH will accept DASNY’s recommendation in lieu of the review performed by DOH staff. DASNY charges a flat fee for this service, based on the construction value of the project.

The webinar will walk members through DASNY’s review process and discuss the advantages of using the authority’s services.
