Evidence-Based Practices of High-Performing Governing Boards

October 15, 2015

11 a.m. to noon

This event is open to HANYS Members only.

This is the first in a series of complimentary webinars hosted by Healthcare Trustees of New York State with goverance expert Larry Walker. These webinars will provide practical tips, tools and compelling examples and models to help healthcare trustees better understand and execute:

  • what it takes to be a high-performance governing board;
  • how governance can lead and support your organization’s strategic success; and
  • how and why a good board should take a critical look at itself.

In this webinar, Evidence-Based Practices of High-Performing Governing Boards, Larry Walker delineates and discusses key leading practices trustees need to implement to advance board capabilities and “move the needle” from good to great governance, including the importance of fiduciary fitness, building a board “Culture of Discovery”, and being a macro leader instead of a micromanager.
