The Board’s Role as a Leading Strategy Asset

November 17, 2015

Noon - 1 p.m.

Registration for this event is open to HANYS Members only.

This is the second in a series of complimentary webinars hosted by Healthcare Trustees of New York State with goverance expert Larry Walker. These webinars will provide practical tips, tools and compelling examples and models to help healthcare trustees better understand and execute:

  • what it takes to be a high-performance governing board;
  • how governance can lead and support your organization’s strategic success; and
  • how and why a good board should take a critical look at itself.

In this webinar, The Board’s Role as a Leading Strategy Asset, Larry Walker examines the trustees’ role as keepers of the strategic flame and how to best govern for strategic success. He will address what makes a good plan and key questions trustees should ask about it, how to keep the process on track, and avoid potential pitfalls. He will also show boards how to engage the entire organization in strategic thinking.
