Introduction to Mapping

December 9 & 10, 2009

1:00 - 3:00 p.m both days, EST

This session will train planning professionals to develop geographic-spatial analyses from standard data reports using mapping software. This course will explain basic mapping, information suitable for mapping, and how to create a map for translating data into usable information.

This program will be offered as a Webconference over two days. The program material is different each day and participation in both days is encouraged for maximum value.

  • Community Health
  • Marketing
  • Public Relations

What you will learn

At the conclusion of this program, participants will:

  • be able to more effectively use mapping software for developing geographic analyses;
  • identify what health planning information is appropriate for mapping; and
  • demonstrate patterns of care by manipulating large amounts of health care planning data to create maps.

Continuing Credits

This program has been approved for 4 clock hours of non ACHE Category II continuing education credit.

Registration Deadline/Cancellation

Registration Deadline is 12/04/2009. Cancellations less a 25% cancellation fee will be accepted until 11/27/2009. Cancellations after that time are not eligible for a refund. Substitutions are always encouraged even at the last minute.
