Washington, D.C.
Who should attend

Agenda
On the afternoon of April 27, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., HANYS will host on Capitol Hill a briefing on federal advocacy issues including the federal budget, health care reform, and health information technology. New York Senators Charles Schumer is invited to speak to HANYS members during the briefing along with Maya MacGuineas, President of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget at the New America Foundation.
That evening, at 7 p.m. you are invited to join HANYS President Daniel Sisto and New York's allied association leaders and staff for cocktails and dinner at Darlington House (http://www.darlingtonhousedc.com) located at 1610 20th St., NW, just a few blocks from the AHA meeting site, the Washington Hilton.
On April 28, you are encouraged to visit your congressional representatives as part of HANYS' Congressional Advocacy Day. On behalf of New York's allied associations, HANYS will coordinate visits with members of the New York State Congressional Delegation.
We ask that you make every effort to coordinate your congressional visit though HANYS. Also, if you plan to leave Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, April 28, we suggest making your travel plans for later in the day as many Delegation members will not be available to meet with constituents until the afternoon.
