Complying with the Nursing Disclosure Law
March 26, 2010
10 - 11:30 a.m.
The New York State Department of Health (DOH) released a guidance document to hospitals that outlines DOH's expectations for complying with the Nursing Care Quality Protection Act (Chapter 422 of the Laws of 2009). The law requires hospitals to report on select nursing care indicators and quality adverse events. The DOH will promulgate regulations, but this letter should be used until adoption of the regulations is finalized.
