Revised 2010-2011 Executive Budget Proposal Impacts

HANYS has revised the 2010-2011 Executive Budget Proposal impacts and posted them on HANYS’ Web site under the heading "Revised Budget Impacts - Updated Indigent Care Data." These impacts have changed due to updated data provided to us by the Department of Health. Specifically, DOH has updated the data used to estimate the 2010 Indigent Care Pool Distribution, using the 2008 institutional cost report (ICR), as required in statute, rather than the 2007 ICR that was used in the original distribution. HANYS has revised our estimate of the impact of the proposed $186.5 million cut to the indigent care pool based on the updated data.
This Webconference will assist members with understanding these changes.
