The Sagamore

This year's A2Q conference continues to take on an increased import as we enhance our efforts to be pro-active and ensure our members successes during this tumultuous transition period of healthcare reform, renewal, and change. The conference will be focus on top issues impacting our work, pragmatic and innovative initiatives, and networking. Your participation is vital to enrich the sharing, dialogue, and learning.

Registration is now open and we will update this page with the agenda as it develops. Please see below for detailed registration instructions.

Conference Package

The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) has set up a $750 all-inclusion rate (Exception: transportation) that will be pre-paid at the time of registration. It will cover:

• lodge accommodations for Sunday 10/3 and Monday 10/4. (Rooms in the hotel are available at an additional rate);
• buffet dinner Sunday 10/3 at the Rock Ledge Restaurant;
• breakfast and lunch on Monday 10/4 and Tuesday 10/5;
• dinner and Boat Ride on The Morgan, a 19^th century touring boat replica on Monday evening 10/4; and
• all conference room/meeting expenses.

Transportation

HANYS will evaluate the transportation needs based on registration information. In early September of 2010, HANYS will provide a "transportation only" registration if there is found to be a need. The options will include assistance with:

• round-trip conference bus between Albany and The Sagamore;
• car rentals, shuttle services as needed; and
• other accommodations such as those interested in flying in or out of New York City instead of Albany.

Pre-conference: Adirondack and Lake Placid, NY Tour Package: October 1-3

HANYS is pleased to offer a relaxing two-day pre-conference tour that will provide you with the complete fall Adirondack experience. The package price of $398 includes the following highlights:

• Participants will stay two nights at the Crown Plaza Resort Hotel. Please note that the Crowne Plaza is in the heart of the Olympic village, Lake Placid. The Crowne Plaza sits on a bluff overlooking some of the most spectacular views of the Adirondack mountains and lakes. It is directly next to the Olympic Training Center and within walking distance to the main street shops and attractions.
• The Lake Placid Octoberfest (more about the leaves then beer) will be held this very weekend.
• You will be on your own to explore the village and attractions from your arrival on Friday, October 1 to departure on Sunday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m.
• Sunday, October 3 the bus will stop at Whiteface Mountain, two-time home of the Winter Olympics where you will be on your own to take a Gondola Ride , the Cloudspitter, to the peak of the mountain, take the Ski Jumps elevator tour, and more. There are places to get a bite of lunch. You will then take an extended ride from Lake Placid to Bolton Landing, New York, through some of the most beautiful Adirondack landscape.

During the registration process for the Conference, you will be given the option to register for the Pre-Conference. The package price does not include transportation from Lake Placid to Bolton Landing. Please see "Transportation" above for information on determination of busing needs.

Registration and Cancellation Policy

The registration deadline for the conference is September 10. Registrations made after August 31 will not include the option to purchase the pre-conference package.

All registrations are to be done online and require payment with a credit card at that time. You will get a registration confirmation number after submitting payment. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation.

You will need to register using your e-mail address and HANYS password. Cancellations prior to August 15 will be issued a full refund. Cancellations from August 16 to September 1 will be issued a refund, less a $75 cancellation fee and forfeit of any Pre-Conference package purchase. No refunds wil be issued after September 1, but substitutes are welcome and encouraged.
