Tri-State Managed Care Conference

This conference is for members of the Healthcare Association of New York State, New Jersey Hospital Association, and Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania only.
The Tri-State Managed Care Conference will give participants the opportunity to discuss regional issues with managed care colleagues in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
The Conference will feature keynote speaker Dr. Mark Fendrick, Co-Director of the Center for Value Based Insurance Design and a Professor at the University of Michigan. Dr. Fendrick currently serves as the Co-Editor in Chief of The American Journal of Managed Care. He will present on value-based insurance design.
Executive staff members of the respective hospital associations will discuss how they are preparing for health care reform. Troy Oecshner, Deputy Superintendent of Health for the New York State Insurance Department, will present on the impact health reform.
The second day of the Conference will include several speakers who will discuss innovative delivery system and payment reforms, including bundling, medical homes, and Accountable Care Organizations.
Excellus, Horizon, Independence BlueCross, and the BlueCross BlueShield Association (BCBSA), will be featured on a panel to discuss planned improvements for the BlueCard program.
Participants will be asked for input on the efforts and activities of the Multi-State Managed Care Coalition. The Coalition has worked on a number of high profile national payer issues including UnitedHealthcares Admission Notification Policy and the BCBSAs BlueCard program. The Coalition will continue to provide support to our members as we monitor and attempt to influence the way insurer market conduct changes in response to health reform.

Hotel Accommodations
A block of hotel rooms have been set aside for this Conference at a nightly rate of $155 (excluding taxes and fees). Reservations may be made by contacting the Sheraton City Center at (215) 448-2000 and referencing the Tri-State Managed Care Conference. Rooms will be available at the $155 rate until September 7.
Registration and Cancellation Policy
The registration deadline for the Conference is September 22. Conference registrations canceled after September 14 are subject to a $50 administrative charge. Registration fees are forfeited for those canceling on the day of the program or who fail to attend. Substitutions are permitted and encouraged, but should be indicated either before or at the Conference.
