HANYS’ 2011 Federal Briefing and Congressional Advocacy Day

April 12-13, 2011
Washington, D.C.

HANYS' federal advocacy this year is focused on the federal fiscal year (FFY) 2012 budget and related deficit reduction efforts aimed at cutting entitlement spending, as well as the ongoing implementation of the hospital and health system policies contained in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive Program, the “meaningful use” program.

We encourage you to join us in Washington, taking the opportunity to urge the New York State Congressional Delegation to stand firm in opposition to reductions to Medicare and Medicaid during the FFY 2012 budget process, roll back reductions in ACA, and work with New York hospitals and health systems to improve ACA and meaningful use programs being implemented by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Please note: you will need to register seperately for the AHA Annual Membership Meeting registration.
