Human Factors: Understanding Human Capabilities and Their Role in Medication Safety

This Webconference will provide a basic understanding of human cognition and common phenomena that lead to human error, including confirmation bias, inattention blindness, change blindness, and psychosocial influences on human performance. The speaker will discuss how an understanding of human factors can lead to safer system design and environmental control, particularly in fields of patient safety and medication safety.
