HANYS Solutions offers New York hospitals products and services that help capture, analyze, and report on Health Information Management (HIM) data. The 2012 Spring HIM meetings, held in seven locations throughout the state, will provide detailed information on these products and services and how each are evolving to meet the regulatory and environmental changes expected in the marketplace.
The 2012 Spring HIM meetings will focus on:
- Reimbursement Changes: EAPGs, APR-DRGs, IPPS, and OPPS;
- SPARCS Changes: Expanded Outpatient Data Collection (EODC) requirements
- ICD-10 Implementation: a look at what will be required for the successful transition to International Classification of Disease, Tenth Revision (ICD-10); and
- Product Updates: UIS Data SystemTM (UDS), UDS-APC SoftwareTM,and Quantim®.
These sessions will focus on the feature and functionality changes in the products. Non-clients are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Continuing Credits
This program is being submitted for approval of two continuing education units for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the American Health Information Management Association.
HERF is authorized to award two hours of pre-approved Category II (non-ACHE) continuing education credit for this program toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in the program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward Category II credit should indicate their attendance when submitting application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.
