On February 13, from 1 to 3 p.m., HANYS will host a Webconference to introduce its new Medicare Bundled Payment Analytics. These new and insightful analytic reports highlight opportunities, provide decision support, and detail the payment variability associated with the inpatient acute care, physician, and post-acute services provided to Medicare beneficiaries during episodes of care. This Webconference will address the two-tiered approach of the offering:

Tier 1: HRR Analysis of High Service Variability DRGs

Tier 2: Hospital-Specific Analysis of High Service Variability DRGs and Consulting Option

What you will learn

HANYS’ Medicare Bundled Payment Analytics are based on an analysis of the Medicare Part A and Part B claims data sets available through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Utilizing these data, the analytic reports and available consulting option provide the necessary support to mine through millions of Medicare claim records to:

• IDENTIFY the conditions (i.e., DRGs) with high volumes and high service variation to explore opportunities for improved efficiency and quality;
• ASSESS the opportunities for participation and success under upcoming payment bundling pilot/demonstration programs and other health reform initiatives;
• BENCHMARK hospital-specific service variation to relevant peer groups; and
• TRACK the service profile of high variation episodes and detail all acute, physician, and post-acute services.
