Health Information Technology (HIT) Strategy Group - In Conjuction with HANYS’ Annual Membership Conference

HANYS will host a session of the HANYS’ Health Information Technology (HIT) Strategy Group in conjunction with HANYS’ Annual Membership Conference at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George.

What you will learn
- Members will have the opportunity to discuss the latest state and federal HIT issues including the progress of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on developing rules for hospitals and non-hospital based physicians to qualify for the Medicare and Medicaid HIT incentive payments authorized as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)
- We expect a definition of “meaningful use” to have been proposed by HHS.
- Members will have the opportunity to dialogue with Deputy Commissioner Block on the state’s progress implement of provisions of the ARRA in conjuction with its ongoing work to develop its health information exchange infrastructure, the “SHIN-NY.”
