Nursing Home Emergency Preparedness 2009 Evacuation Update

This Webconference, presented by The New York State Department of Health (DOH) in conjunction with Long-Term Care provider associations, and sponsored by HANYS, provides nursing homes with information about modifications in the Standard Content Elements (SCEs) of evacuation plans for nursing homes, guidelines in interfacing existing emergency preparedness plans with the SCEs, and an evacuation planning template that leaders can use in the plan process. DOH expects providers to review and make evacuation plan revisions that must be submitted to DOH by September 9, 2009.
