The Future of Electronic Reporting of Quality Measures
July 10, 2013
10 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Available to HANYS Members Only
HANYS and the American Hospital Association (AHA) will explore the future of electronic reporting of quality measures.
Akin Demehin, Senior Associate Director, Policy, AHA, will provide an overview of proposed changes in federal health care programs related to the measures used in quality reporting programs, and alignment of measures across programs.
Diane Jones, Senior Associate Director, Policy, AHA, will discuss the proposals for expanding the use of electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) in quality reporting and the experience to date with electronic health record technology (EHRs) and the health information technology (HIT) infrastructure support for electronic clinical quality reporting.
This session is ideal for members who were unable to attend our joint meeting of the HANYS Statewide Steering Committee on Quality Initiatives and the HIT Strategy Group in New York City on April 5. That meeting focused on how the use of eCQMs will impact provider operations and reimbursement.
