Sepsis and the Executive Implication

Sean R. Townsend, M.D. Vice President of Quality & Safety, California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco has been successful around the country in providing strategies for improving treatments for severe sepsis patients. Hospitals leaders are then able to convey these strategies to the executive leadership. Dr. Townsend strongly believes that the support of hospital chief executives and board members is critical to the success of each organization's patient safety program. During this session he will provide participants with the resources to assist in engaging hospital executives and the latest information on statewide patient safety programs.
