CON Reform and Health Planning

This Webconference, presented by The New York State Department of Health (DOH), Office of Health System Management, and sponsored by HANYS, address the changes in Certificate of Need (CON) policies and regulations.

- Chief Information Officers
- Certificate of Need Workgroup
What you will learn
We will discuss:
- how applications for health information applications for health information technology (HIT) will be assessed to ensure compatibility with the state’s plan for an interoperable HIT infrastructure Evaluation and assessment
- how to qualify for federal funding for approved users of HIT
- updates on local health planning and the Prevention Quality Indicator (PQI) tool
- the expectations for use of the tool in preparing CON applications.
