This forum will be in conjunction with a Northern New York (NNY) Hospital Board meeting.

HANYS and the Iroquois Healthcare Alliance (IHA) invite members to join them at one of their Regional Policy Forums to discuss the critical issues affecting your organization as you prepare for 2015. The forums are an opportunity for you to discuss important policy developments, the healthcare transformation taking place in your communities, and the challenges you face in the rapidly changing healthcare environment. HANYS and IHA will also discuss major issues that you need to know about as your organization prepares for the future.

Forums will be held in Lake Placid on October 29, Syracuse on November 6, the Capital District on November 7, and Binghamton on November 21. The same program will be held in each location.

The agenda includes:

• Dialogue on state and federal policy, and the political and advocacy landscape for 2015, including the latest on the Medicaid waiver and the impact of the November elections.
• Discussion on the evolution of value-based payment in New York, including guidance on changes in the commercial marketplace and the health insurance exchange; Medicare and Medicaid; and providers’ continued move toward value-based payment structures
• Discussion on the ongoing transformation of healthcare and HANYS’ advocacy strategy
• Open forum for member commentary, concerns, and questions with the leaders of HANYS and IHA.

The meeting is open to any staff that will benefit from the forum. Refreshments will be served and we invite you to join us for lunch following the programs. We look forward to meeting with you and your leadership team.
