HANYS/ Allied Association State Budget Briefings
Regionally February 3, 4, 5, 6
Various Locations
HANYS and the allied associations urge you to participate in this year’s Regional Policy Forums to discuss the Governor’s proposed state budget and our collective advocacy. Each Regional Policy Forum will include time for questions and answers (Q&A).
This year’s state budget proposal will present an opportunity to achieve new investments and some fiscal relief from years of cuts. To accomplish our goal, we will need to have strong collective advocacy during the budget process and entire legislative session, as billions of dollars will be at stake and controversial and complex legislation will be debated. Other groups will be quite vocal and will be competing for the same resources.
The Regional Policy Forums are an opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of the budget and our advocacy strategy going forward, and to ask questions.
