HANYS MLTC-FIDA Update with DOH

April 20, 2015

This event is open to HANYS' Members Only.

3 - 5 p.m.

Since the managed long-term care (MLTC) transition has implications for hospitals, nursing homes, and home care agencies, we encourage all members to participate in the webinar.

The MLTC transition is continuing to expand across the state, and MLTC plans are seeking to contract with providers to supply long- term care services and, in some cases, care management to Medicaid recipients.

Mark Kissinger will present information on the transition of community-based, dual-eligible individuals into MLTC, including the implementation of the Conflict-Free Evaluation and Enrollment Center. In addition, he will discuss the transition of the nursing home Medicaid benefit and population into managed care which began on February 1. He will also provide updates on the Fully Integrated Dual Advantage (FIDA) demonstration, which has begun to voluntarily enroll individuals as of January 1 in Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, and Queens counties. Additional details about the nursing home transition and FIDA can be found in HANYS’ State Issue Papers.

Recordings and presentations from HANYS previous MLTC webinars with Mr. Kissinger are available online:
