HANYS is aggressively advocating for relief and fairness in the audit environment as HANYS’ members face growing pressure from federal audits. As part of its strategy to assist members, HANYS is creating valuable educational programs to help our members meet the current challenges of government audits and develop internal strategies for managing future audits.
HANYS’ two-day Program Integrity Conference will teach you and your staff how to recognize key risk areas from government auditors including Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs), Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), Medicaid Integrity Contractors (MICs), and Zone Program Integrity Contractors (ZPICs), and learn how to protect your organization.
You will also learn about unique requirements for observation services under Medicare and New York’s Medicaid program, and explore important Medicare policies that pertain to reimbursement and revenue cycle management.
Topics covered by our expert faculty will include:
- new guidance on Medicare Part B inpatient and outpatient rebilling;
- observation services and Condition Code 44;
- structuring and managing a compliance committee; and
- denial and appeal strategies.
