Sepsis CUSP Series 2014

Registration for this event will register you for the entire series.

HANYS is partnering with the Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC) and the Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET) to provide New York State hospitals with a unique opportunity to improve sepsis care and outcomes.

This five-part series will apply the Comprehensive Unit-Based Safety Program (CUSP) – a proven quality improvement strategy focused on teamwork, culture, and communication - to hospital sepsis care. Participants will also learn a structured 4 TIER process for sepsis program implementation.

Speaker: Patricia Posa, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.A., System Performance Improvement Leader, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor

Topic: Teamwork and Communication/TIER IV -- Measurement and Continuous Improvement

Ms. Posa will help participants understand the importance of effective communication and transparency, identify barriers to communication, and isolate and apply the effective teamwork.
