Dialogue on Medicaid Waiver with NYS Medicaid Director Jason Helgerson

The $8 billion Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) Medicaid waiver represents an important and vital re-investment in the transformation of the health care system. Through the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program, funding will be available to safety net providers and their partners for delivery system reform to implement projects designed to achieve the state’s goal of reducing potentially preventable hospitalizations.
We encourage members to attend the May 2 meeting to ask their questions in person. However, if you cannot attend in person, you will be able to participate via Webconference. This meeting will also be recorded and available on the HANYS website.

Medicaid Waiver Comments
HANYS would like to hear your questions and comments as we prepare to submit comments on the Medicaid Waiver. If you are preparing comments on the waiver or have insights that should be included in HANYS comments, please share them with Stephen Harwell at sharwell@hanys.org. The waiver terms and conditions are subject to a 15-day comment period that ends April 29 and the appendices have a 30-day comment period that ends May 14.
