State Deficit Plan Negotiations Continue
The Senate and Assembly returned to Albany today to continue negotiations on a plan to address the state budget deficit.
HANYS is encouraging members to contact their representatives in the Assembly and Senate and urge them to address the state deficit without cutting health care.
Health care providers in New York State have been disproportionately cut and taxed four times in just the last 18 months. These budget cuts have resulted in the elimination of patient care services and the loss of jobs--damaging both the health of the state’s citizens and its economy. With more reductions, health care providers will need to make cutbacks that are even more drastic. Contact: Nicholas Henley
