Behavioral Health Managed Care: Prepare at Behavioral Health SWAT
On June 7, HANYS will host an intensive one-day program at the Doubletree Tarrytown to provide the Strategies, Weapons, And Tactics (SWAT) providers need to compete in the behavioral health managed care environment.
New York’s Medicaid program is shifting behavioral health patients into managed care programs, making it imperative for behavioral health providers to be prepared for an increasingly managed environment, both clinically and financially.
Members are encouraged to register online.
HANYS’ Behavioral Health SWAT Program is designed to give behavioral health and financial staff the tools to survive in a tightly managed environment, including legal rights, contracting and relationship strategies, revenue cycle management, and claim denial management. SWAT will also provide a case study example of a health plan and a behavioral health provider working collaboratively to manage their shared behavioral health population.
Attendees will be eligible for 3.5 Category II (non-American College of Health Care Executives) Continuing Education credits and 1.25 Certified Public Accountancy Continuing Education credits.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Doubletree Tarrytown for SWAT attendees at a rate of $134 per night. Please reserve rooms by May 21 by calling (800) 435-7435.
