Healthcare Association of New York State Announces 2014 Board Chair and Officers

ALBANY, NY – The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) Board of Trustees named its Chair for 2014: Linda Brady, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Brooklyn.

The Board also announced its other 2014 Officers and Executive Committee members:

  • Chair-Elect: Scott Cooper, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx
  • Secretary: Stephens Mundy, President and Chief Executive Officer, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center, Plattsburgh
  • Treasurer: Joel Seligman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt. Kisco
  • Immediate Past Chairman: Joseph McDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer, Catholic Health System, Buffalo
  • Past Chairman: Herbert Pardes, M.D., Executive Vice Chairman of the Board, NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System—New York Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York City
  • Past Chairman: Joseph Quagliata, President and Chief Executive Officer, South Nassau Communities Hospital, Oceanside
  • Past Chairman: Michael J. Dowling, President and Chief Executive Officer, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, Great Neck
  • S. Jan Eberhard, M.D., Trustee, Arnot Health, Elmira
  • Warren Hern, President and Chief Executive Officer, Unity Health System, Rochester

The following new members were also recently elected to the Board:

  • Kathryn Ruscitto, President and Chief Executive Officer, St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse
  • Ed Dinan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Lawrence Hospital Center, Bronxville
