Antibiotic Stewardship Collaborative: Antibiotic Stewardship: Does one size fit all?

November 24, 2015
Webinar

This event is open to HANYS Members Only.

4 - 5 p.m.

Through our Antibiotic Stewardship Collaborative, HANYS is supporting members as they accelerate their focus on antibiotic stewardship utilizing CDC' Core Elements of Hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Programs‌ as a framework. An important strategy in the core elements is the close collaboration between epidemiology, infection prevention, and pharmacy to monitor, analyze, and question antibiotic use to ensure optimal utilization, and minimize unintended consequences.

Session four in the HANYS Antibiotic Stewardship Collaborative programming discusses the critical contribution of these experts to the work, and provides an example of best practices to operationalize the approach.

All member hospitals are encouraged to attend. Collaborative participation is not a requirement to register for this program.

Gopi Patel, M.D., Director, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, and Assistant Professor, Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
