In response to hospital requests for concrete assistance to advance their implementation work, HANYS and Press Ganey are pleased to offer a comprehensive training program geared toward intermediate and advanced participants in high-reliability programs.

Through a series of four, two-day seminars, developed by the experts at Health Performance Improvement (HPI)/ Press Ganey, the HANYS-HPI/Press Ganey course will provide leaders with strategies, tactics, and tools needed to advance their goals toward becoming a highly reliable organization—achieving consistent improvement in quality, patient safety, patient experience, and operations.

Participants will be able to take learnings back to their organizations and implement specific high-reliability organization (HRO) actions designed to reduce human error, improve system reliability, and reinforce accountability to meet practice expectations.

Audience

This program is designed for executive leadership and other key leaders in the organization.

Though this program is open to all, the curriculum is best suited to the intermediate and advanced HRO as defined below:

• INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

Hospitals at this level have had some engagement in high-reliability programming to date. The intermediate programs are designed to reinforce the basic concepts of high reliability in healthcare and to give hospitals practical, hands-on training and tools that they can implement in their facility. Engagement at this level is medium cost, but also is expected to have a medium impact on process and outcome improvement.

• ADVANCED LEVEL

Hospitals at this level have had moderate engagement in high-reliability programming to date. The advanced programs are designed to provide a comprehensive "deep dive" into high reliability through a formal engagement with an outside high-reliability consultant. Engagement at this level is potentially high cost, but also is expected to have a high impact on process and outcome improvement.

The four, two-day seminars will take place roughly every two months at regional locations as determined by registration.

About the Seminars

Fee includes, four, two-day seminars, held approximately every two months starting in September 2018.

Seminar locations will be determined based on the regions of participating hospitals.
