HANYS 340B Webinar: AHA Good Stewardship Principles

November 16, 2018
Webinar

1:30-2:30 p.m.

Registration is open to HANYS Members Only.

On Nov. 16, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., HANYS will host a webinar in partnership with the American Hospital Association (AHA) to review AHA's new 340B Good Stewardship initiative.

As explained in our September 18 Member Update, the AHA initiative asks hospitals to sign a commitment to be good stewards of the 340B program and its benefits. Specifically, the commitment asks 340B hospitals to communicate the value of the 340B program, publicly disclose estimated 340B savings achieved from the program and ensure proper program oversight.

On the webinar, Molly Collins Offner, Director, Policy Development and Aimee Kuhlman, Senior Associate Director, Federal Relations, AHA will review the goals of the initiative and the political context for the initiative, discuss AHA’s expectations and timelines, and answer your questions.

In light of the tremendous scrutiny facing the 340B program, HANYS believes the AHA 340B stewardship principles provide an important opportunity for 340B hospitals to proactively demonstrate their commitment to transparency while communicating the many ways 340B savings enhance access to care in communities through crucial programs and services that might not otherwise be available.
