Since the discovery of Ebola virus in 1976, there have been persistant outbreaks in several African countries. The CDC and NYSDOH recently issued advisories to clinicians on preparedness, screening and treatment of Ebola. In this webinar Dr. Daniel G. Bausch, director, UK Public Health Rapid Support Team, draws from more than 25 years experience confronting dangerous diseases to share expert insights and help participants:

Objectives: Attendees will be able to understand:

• basic clinical presentation and epidemiology of viral hemorrhagic in order to know when these diseases should be included in the differential diagnosis;
• basic principles of transmission of Ebola virus and other hemorrhagic fever viruses; and
• the latest scientific advances in therapeutics and vaccinations for EVD.
