C. auris post-COVID-19: Updates on antifungal resistance, lessons learned and more

This event is open to HANYS members and non-members.

This session will discuss challenges in testing for and treating C. auris, including the recent development of echinocandin and pan-resistant isolates. Broader C. auris trends during and after the COVID-19 surge will be explored, and presenters will review lessons learned from the public health and infection prevention and control response.

After the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • describe antifungal resistance trends in C.auris;
  • discuss treatment of C.auris;
  • explain epidemiological trends in C. auris, including during and post-COVID-19 waves; and
  • discuss lessons learned in infection prevention and control of C. auris within healthcare facilities.
