Diagnostic stewardship interventions: Harnessing implementation science frameworks

Antimicrobial resistence, antibiotic stewardship and appropriate antibiotic prescribing are a priority for inpatient and outpatient providers. Learn how to leverage implementation science frameworks to design and implement diagnostic stewardship interventions for Clostridioides difficile and urine testing, as well as the elements of a successful diagnostic stewardship program.

At the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • describe barriers and facilitators to appropriate test utilization for C. diff and urine cultures;
  • implement strategies that target specific barriers; and
  • identify elements of a successful diagnostic stewardship program.
