Statutory and Regulatory Relief During Emergencies

December 15, 2014

This webinar was originally scheduled for November 3; if you previously registered, you do not need to re-register.

10 - 11:30 a.m.

Registration is open to HANYS members and non-members. If you are not a HANYS member and need a username/password, please send an email to learning@hanys.org with your contact information including name, title, and organization name/address. An account will be created, and your username/password will be emailed to you.

HANYS is hosting this webinar in collaboration with 13 associations to provide an overview of the process and an opportunity to ask questions of content experts at the Department of Health.

After the events of the 2009 influenza pandemic, Hurricane Irene, Superstorm Sandy, and other emergencies, health care providers expressed a need for guidance on how to seek the suspension or modification of statutes and regulations during emergencies.

In response, HANYS and Iroquois Healthcare Association, in collaboration with DOH, convened a workgroup of associations representing healthcare providers across the continuum of care to develop guidance and assemble a list of potential statutory and regulatory barriers.

This guidance and list of potential statutory and regulatory barriers are posted on the HANYS website as a guidebook.
