Share your community health improvement story
The American Hospital Association celebrated Community Health Improvement Week from June 2-8 with the theme, “One Voice to Activate Partnerships.” This national event raises awareness, demonstrates impact and celebrates the individuals, hospitals, health systems and other organizations that are working together to advance the health and well-being of their communities.
Every day, New York hospitals and health systems are working beyond facility walls to provide their communities wellness and prevention programs free of charge, to improve population health, address regional health disparities and deliver valuable benefits to local communities. These programs demonstrate our hospital and health systems’ financial commitment to improving the health of their communities.
HANYS encourages members to promote their wellness and prevention programs in our Community Health Spotlight. Share with others how you are successfully serving patients in any setting, from the classroom to the workplace. Submit your story to Ashley Tanzillo, HANYS communications specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Click here for submission guidelines. Contact: Kristen Phillips
