HANYS welcomes Thomas J. Quatroche Jr., PhD as president and CEO

We are pleased this week to welcome Thomas J. Quatroche Jr., PhD, to HANYS as our new president and CEO!

Quatroche will lead HANYS’ advocacy in Albany and Washington, D.C. on behalf of New York’s nonprofit and public hospitals, health systems and post-acute and continuing care providers and the patients they serve. He will oversee all of HANYS’ work, including its educational programs, policy and data analysis, quality improvement initiatives and nationally engaged for-profit business services.

“As the former president and CEO of Erie County Medical Center Corporation, a HANYS member hospital in Western New York, and former chair of our board of trustees, I’ve had the great fortune of seeing HANYS’ expertise and power in action for over 20 years,” said Quatroche. “This association has a brilliant team, a track record of success and a tremendous reputation in our state and federal capitals. Advocating for positive change in partnership with HANYS has been a high point in my career thus far, and I look forward to making advocacy my top priority as HANYS’ president and CEO.”
