HTNYS’ 2025 Annual Trustee Conference brought together hospital and health system board members from across New York state for three days of learning, collaboration and connection.
Attendees enjoyed connecting with their peers, subject matter experts and industry leaders to network and discuss shared challenges and best practices.
The feedback we’ve received has been phenomenal! Attendees reported:
- “Best Trustee Conference yet!”
- “The variety of issues presented, and scope of detail presented was excellent.”
- “Excellent topics and quality of speakers. Always great, new, relevant information.”
- “This conference contributes to the continued development of our board and the processes at our facilities.”
Those who attended the new board member orientation program found it full of valuable information, even for veteran board members. We hope to offer this session again next year to assist in your board education.
Françoise Dunefsky, longtime Vassar Brothers Medical Center trustee, was recognized for her longstanding and exceptional leadership of initiatives improving patient experience and clinical outcomes with the Healthcare Trustee Leadership Award, which returned this year. Watch our video to learn more about Françoise and her dedication to improving healthcare. Thank you for all the outstanding nominations. Look for the call for 2026 nominations in March.
Thank you to all who attended the conference! We always aim to cover the most relevant topics that you need to know about as a healthcare trustee and leader, and we hope you left with tangible takeaways.
We know that times are challenging but we’re here to help. Please remember to use HTNYS for your governance education all year-round. Keep in touch and let us know your needs so we can better support you in your roles.
Mark your calendar for next year’s conference, Sept. 17-19 at Turning Stone in Verona, centrally located between the Finger Lakes and Adirondacks. Besides the conference center and casino, there are several restaurants, lounges, spas, golf courses and more, for you to take advantage of after sessions that will equip you to guide your hospital/health system through the complex issues you're facing.
