Statement from HANYS President Bea Grause, RN, JD on the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act represents the largest erosion of our healthcare system in history and will significantly impact New York's healthcare system, reducing coverage for millions and straining our hospitals and health systems. Healthcare providers will be forced to make difficult decisions about staffing and services, affecting patient access to care across urban, suburban and rural communities.
HANYS is committed to working with Gov. Hochul and state and federal lawmakers in the aftermath of this irresponsible bill. Our resolve to advocate for patients and healthcare access remains unwavering.
