Statement from HANYS President Bea Grause, RN, JD on Senate version of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
The U.S. Senate's version of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act is a disaster for New Yorkers. Its proposed Medicaid cuts will deepen the estimated $6.5 billion annual cut to New York hospitals - an unthinkable prospect that will only hurt New Yorkers' access to the care they need and the jobs that support our local economies.
Congress must reject these proposals. The lives and livelihoods of New Yorkers depend on it.
