State regulatory activity
This week’s update includes a notice of adoption on the requirements for restricted licenses for clinical laboratory technologists in molecular testing and proposed regulations on admission and discharge standards for psychiatric patients in certain settings. Continuing resolution extends funding, delays DSH cuts
Last week, Congress passed and President Biden signed into law another continuing resolution, extending funding for four federal agencies through March 1 and the remaining eight agencies through March 8. HANYS is pleased that Congress included a further delay of the Medicaid DSH cuts, a top priority for New York hospitals and health systems. Those cuts are now set to go into effect March 8.
