HANYS announces infection prevention-focused partnership with PURPLESUN™
New partnership formed to reduce healthcare-associated infections using novel light-based technology
ALBANY, NY — June 23, 2020 — The Healthcare Association of New York State, Inc. today announces a new strategic business partnership with PURPLESUN Inc., a New York-based technology company. This partnership aims to arm more New York healthcare facilities with a powerful tool to reduce healthcare-associated infections caused by harmful viruses, bacteria and other germs.

According to the New York State Department of Health’s Hospital-Acquired Infections in New York State, 2018 report, hospitals statewide saw significant declines for nine out of the ten measured infections from 2015 to 2018.
