HANYS President Bea Grause named in Albany Power 100
In a year when the importance of healthcare couldn’t be more evident, Grause was once again ranked among Albany’s most prolific lawmakers, key commissioners, business leaders, nonprofits and labor unions, outspoken advocates and activists.
UHC delays harmful emergency department policy
After pushback from HANYS and other groups, UHC said it would delay the policy, which would deny payment for ED visits UHC deems as non-urgent, until the pandemic has ended. We will continue to press for this policy to be permanently halted.

In less than a week we’ll be gathered together (virtually, of course) digging in on the issues that matter most to you like post-COVID-19 strategizing, diversity and health equity planning, financial recovery, digital strategies and person-centered care. Register now and join the conversation June 16-17!
Increase board diversity with AHA’s Trustee Match program
With diverse boards, hospitals and health systems can accelerate advancements in addressing health equity for patients and communities. Read HTNYS' June edition of Trends to learn how this match program can help you increase diversity on your boards, councils and executive committees.
Addiction treatment facilities: Respond to ATLAS survey by July 30
Facility responses to the email survey will help improve patient experience and connect them with the best services for their needs. Questions on the survey or requests for a new link should be directed to the ATLAS Helpdesk.
