HANYS awards diversity and inclusion leadership scholarships

We're pleased to award Keisha Peters, assistant director of human resources, NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, and Christopher Sanchez, hospital relations manager, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and DeGraff Medical Park, scholarships for the eCornell Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program.

"How can I be better?”

Our 2021 scholarship recipients discuss the value of leadership development opportunities and the importance of diversity and inclusion in our latest blog post.

Omnibus spending package includes 340B protections

The bill, which funds the federal government through the fiscal year, includes a critical HANYS-supported provision to protect eligibility for hospitals whose 340B Program status was at risk. HANYS applauds Senate Majority Leader Schumer, who championed the issue to ensure these hospitals can continue to address the needs of their communities. The bill also extends telehealth flexibilities beyond the public health emergency, as advocated for by HANYS and AHA.
