New York hospitals implement person-centered care practices, earn international recognition

St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and St. Barnabas Hospital recently earned Certification in Person-Centered Care from Planetree International with support from HANYS. Learn more about their transformation journeys in our latest blog post.


State legislative activity

Recently, the following bills passed both houses of the Legislature and are now awaiting delivery to Gov. Hochul:

  • Facility fee notification (A.3470-C/S.2521-C)
  • Opioid antagonists for take home use (A.348-A/S.2976-A)
  • RHCF notification during disease outbreak (A.6052/S.1785-A)

Spotlight on Rochester Regional Health

Through partnership with community and faith groups, particularly those disproportionately affected by COVID-19, they’re providing timely and relevant information to support informed decision-making. The confidential and free hotline — 1.833.9.HELP4MOMS — offers pregnancy, postpartum and post-loss support, in English, Spanish and other languages by request.
