HANYS-supported bipartisan bill to avert Medicaid DSH cuts introduced in House

Representative Yvette Clarke (D-Brooklyn), along with Reps. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Michael Burgess (R-TX), introduced H.R. 2665, the Supporting Safety Net Hospitals Act, this week. The HANYS-supported legislation would avert billions of dollars in cuts to the Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital program through federal fiscal year 2026. We’re urging our members to ask their U.S. representative to co-sponsor the bill and reject harmful cuts to hospitals such as Medicaid DSH and site-neutral payment policies, and protect the 340B drug discount program.
