Hospitals, health systems advocate for 340B protection in Albany

With the added financial pressures of H.R. 1, 340B is one of the most critical tools available to protect New York’s hospitals and ensure access to healthcare for all New Yorkers. This week, HANYS members from across the state met with lawmakers, sharing how the 340B Drug Discount Program helps them care for their communities and urging legislators to support the 340B Prescription Drug Anti-Discrimination Act.


Increasing access to medical care in the NYS Workers’ Compensation system

This month, the Workers’ Compensation Board proposed two regulations to update the medical fee schedules and provide additional guidance on allowable treatment by residents and fellows, a provision that passed in the FY 2025-2026 State Budget. Both regulations stem from Gov. Hochul’s State of the State agenda last year, which included several proposals to give New York’s injured workers more options for timely, high-quality medical care.
